Nite lights

It’s nice to see the swathes of illumination dripping down buildings and shops perky with bright lights. The short days are made more cheerful with the growing glow.
It’s frightening to realise, that Father Christmas will soon be banging on our doors. And we have yet to fill his stocking.

Best buy

Not that the filling is a problem … it’s what to fill stockings with, that causes the stress-factor. There are some types who need that last-minute panic and ad-renaline-rush to think straight … others freeze-frame. Whichever type you are, it’s the early bird that has the bright ideas and catches the best buy.

Glänsa

IKEA, for instance…hit on a magnificent idea. Glänsa, a light wreath. The big version (60cm diameter) or small (40cm) with a myriad of plastic coated mini-bulbs are perfect for embellishing with anything and hang over tab-les or doors. “The” deco hit (while stocks last) and even mid-November there was a scramble to secure this “treat”.

Calmed nerves

The earlier the dreaded “Christmas gifts again” theme is tackled, the bigger the choice. As temperatures rise, pacing up to December 24th, having presents “home and hosed” is a great nerve-calmer that will have you fit for the Festive Season.
